
Non-Alcohol Policy
Discoverers (program participants) will be removed from the program for use or possession of alcohol against Diaspora Discovery policies and regulations, for failure to abide by the terms of this policy, and also for the level of inebriation that impedes participation in an activity, or results in intoxication. There will be no tolerance for drunkenness and/or drunk or disorderly conduct.

Drinking is not permitted on the flight to Diaspora Discovery program destinations.
Drinking is never permitted during program time or during local transportation portions of the program.
Drinking is not permitted in Discoverers' lodging and/or any hotel/guest house or bedrooms.
Drinking is only permitted under strictly controlled conditions, in limited quantities during religious events (e.g., Shabbat services, Kiddush, Shabbat evening meals) with the Trip Organizers’ full knowledge and consent. Written, signed parental consent must also be provided beforehand.
Purchase of any form of alcohol for later use outside the designated place is not permitted.
Staff is not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages during the course of the trip.
Staff may not purchase alcohol for Discoverers.
Under certain circumstances, Discoverers may purchase a closed bottle of wine as a gift to bring home in the event of a winery visit with their group. Written, signed parental consent must also be provided beforehand.
Failure to abide by the policy will result in immediate removal from the trip.
